Excellent to look at, but not to drink from!,
I must admit, I bought this on looks and Delonghi name. Big mistake. Reports of the metallic taste you will find on the internet are very justified. We complained to Delonghi who replaced the kettle saying it must be faulty, but this was the same. Had a refund and purchased a Dualit instead – best move!

Great to look at but this purchase was definately a case of style over substance.
Should you have weak wrists or fingers its not a good buy as the lid requires considerable force to remove. Makes a din when warming up. The water level indicator is pretty useless as it is located directly behind the wide handle for some reason and fills with bubbles when boiled. Overpriced I`d say.

Sadly not the best purchase I’ve ever made! A VERY noisy kettle to boil, only purchased in Sept 07 and already falling apart. There is a crack developed in the black plastic part of the lid (the lid incidentally is very hard to pull off). There is also a strange leak from the handle. A small puddle of water drips from the end of the handle, but I don’t know how the water gets into it in the first place. Overall not very happy with the quality of this kettle – considering the cost it is poor value for money. Think seriously before buying – it does look very stylish when new but won’t last long!!
